A postdoctoral research position is available to study macrophage-driven signaling pathways that regulate normal mammary gland development and breast cancer progression. Studies include understanding how the microenvironment promotes breast cancer initiation and tumor cell invasion and dissemination. Several mouse models, xenograft models, and cell culture models will be used.
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct independent experiments, which includes experimental design, data collection and interpretation, presenting data and national meetings, manuscript preparation, and writing of a postdoctoral grant.
2. Research experience in the areas of cell culture, cell-based assays, RNA and protein analysis, flow cytometry, and basic molecular biology techniques.
