A full-time postdoctoral scholar position is open at UC Irvine on predictive knowledge of soil microbiome processes responding to environmental change. The successful candidate will develop models and integrate them with experimental data to analyze evolutionary mechanisms, community processes, and carbon/nutrient cycling in microbiomes experiencing drought and other environmental changes. This position is supported by NSF- and DOE-funded grants to Steven Allison in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UC Irvine. The postdoc will work in a dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative research environment to develop and advance trait-based modeling approaches.
Interested candidates should direct inquiries to Steven Allison ([email protected]) and submit a formal application through UC Irvine’s recruitment website (https://recruit.ap.uci.edu/JPF06613); Postdoctoral candidates are encouraged to apply by May 1, 2021, but the position will remain open until filled.
