Responsible for the overall management and coordination of daily operations for competitive sports venues including the Rec SportsPlex (RSP), Main Campus Fields (MCF), Westside Courts, Tully Gym, Harkins Field, and Speicher Tennis Center. Responsible for ensuring quality control measures including customer service and facility maintenance are effective. Evaluates all aspects of safety and risk management practices and procedures. Responsible for assessing current facility operations of a variety of competitive sport venues and evaluates and recommends changes as needed. Assists senior management with long term planning for growth of the competitive sports venues. Recommends and assists with planned capital improvement projects

Coordinates regular and special event facility scheduling for various user groups including Campus Recreation, registered student organizations, University groups, and external (non-FSU) groups. Provides direction and support for all aspects of facility rentals. Provides detailed consultation to user groups to ensure scheduled activities are within Departmental and University event management guidelines. Responsible for coordinating required contractual agreements and all financial accountability, including invoicing and payment tracking. Serves as a liaison between FSU Campus Recreation and Tallahassee Sports Council for community-wide events and rentals.

Develops, administers, and monitors the annual budget for facility operations including staff wages, expenses, and revenue generation. In partnership with the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports, provides financial supervision and accountability for the Intramural Sports budgetary process related to facility operation, which includes ordering, invoicing, and receiving items. Responsible for equipment inventory at the program, facility, and departmental levels. Works with Maintenance Staff to evaluate and coordinate the purchasing of related facility equipment. Oversees solicitation, evaluation, and execution of vendor contracts. Creates requisitions for purchase orders and ensures accurate and timely payments.

Collects and summarizes facility usage, user satisfaction surveys, and student staff learning outcomes for annual reporting. Develops, interprets, implements, and enforces policies and procedures as they relate to the safe and orderly use of facilities. Provides high level of customer service to participants and patrons, including general questions and disciplinary hearings.

Supervises and mentors the Student Program Coordinator for Sport Clubs. Provides oversight and guidance to the overall management and leadership of the University’s intercollegiate sport club organizations. Oversees recruitment, selection, hiring, training, evaluation, and termination of facility supervisors, program assistants, and maintenance staff. Provides leadership for the overall training and development of OPS student employees in collaboration with Coordinator.

Maintains partnerships and serves on various Divisional and Departmental committees.Qualifications Master's degree in related field and two years of experience.

Experience scheduling daily and special events at various facilities.

Experience supervising part-time student employees.
