Job Description:

UF Online Enrollment Services is part of the Division of Enrollment Management and is under the leadership of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Associate Provost. The unit includes the UF Online Recruitment & Outreach Center (ROC) and the UF Online OneStop Student Services Center. Both teams work with a high degree of cohesion to accomplish the shared mission to provide UF Online prospective students, students, and alumni first-class customer service throughout the entire enrollment lifecycle, with a specific interest in increasing student enrollment and retention.

This position manages recruitment and outreach services in the UF Online Recruitment and Outreach Center. This individual will lead, plan, and coordinate team activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, as well as assisting with and directing the work of the team members.

This position serves as a link between management and ROC employees by handling recruitment questions, interpreting and administering policies/procedures and resolving complex problems escalated by UF Online Admissions Officers.

The position reports to the Assistant Director of the UF Online Recruitment & Outreach Center.

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of recruitment in the UF Online Recruitment and Outreach Center including the direct supervision of admissions staff. Provides guidance and direction to UF Online Admissions Officers to support UF Online enrollment growth. Establishes operational goals and objectives that align with the overall strategic plan. Coordinates with stakeholders in the Division of Enrollment Management, UF Online, and other campus offices to ensure the UF Online Recruitment and Outreach Center sustains high-quality student support to prospective online students. Advises faculty, staff, and administrators regarding university policies and procedures related to their assigned area.
  • Works as an individual contributor to recruitment-related activities throughout admissions cycle, as needed, to support the unit’s business goals. Interacts with prospective students, family members, counselors, academic advisors, and academic units. Provides student outreach to prospective UF Online students via phone/email/SMS/webinars. Occasional travel to participate in recruitment events, including transfer and college fairs to encourage student enrollments.
  • Identifies, evaluates, supports, and solves complex issues related to area of expertise. Resolves escalated problems referred by subordinate supervisors or staff. Works with the Assistant Director to resolve issues that require a complex level of technical expertise and professional judgement.
  • Develops and facilitates new hire training and on-going training for UF Online Admissions Officers.
  • Assists the Assistant Director for the UF Online Recruitment and Outreach Center with special projects and other duties as needed.

Expected Salary:

$50,000/annually; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated understanding of modern recruitment and outreach strategies
  • Progressive experience working in admissions
  • Knowledge of Florida College System
  • Experience working with online learners, with a preference for prior management experience
  • Working knowledge of student information, admissions, and CRM systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to work collaboratively and effectively across units at all levels
  • Demonstrated commitment to good customer service practices, preferably in a student-focused environment
