Position: Specialist, Open Ranks
Position is available at the University of California, Irvine, Department of Radiological Sciences for a one year appointment, non-senate, academic term appointment in the Specialist Series (Assistant, Associate, and Full Specialist).
The position involves assisting faculty with research investigation in the abdominal imaging. Areas of research include Oncologic MR imaging Radiogenomics; Artificial Intelligence in abdominal imaging; Incumbent is expected to make scientific and scholarly contributions to the research enterprise. Incumbent will assume responsibilities including: 1) data-mining to enable processing and curating complex data sets; (2) data analysis using traditional statistical and machine learning techniques; (3) design, coordination and execution of research experiments; (4) preparation and submission of manuscripts, grant proposals and research-related regulatory documentation. There is close collaboration with other departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant would have PhD, MD or MD/PhD. Mastery of the English language is required. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential. Experience with medical research is a plus.
