The Department of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA seeks individuals with board certification/eligibility in General Pediatrics to serve as a general pediatric and subspecialty hospitalist. This is a full-time position. Duties of the position include care for patients on the Pediatric Gastrointestinal Service (a nonteaching service) as well as the general pediatric ward teaching services and nursery. We are seeking applicants with excellent teaching skills who are interested in engaging in scholarly activities that will lead to academic promotion. Selected individuals will provide pediatric inpatient attending services and coordinate and supervise care in the emergency department, step down unit, and serve as a consult to pediatric subspecialists. Selected candidates will be based at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital (Westwood) and UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center. Individuals must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in California.
