Specialist Series, Open Ranks, Balu


Dr. Mihaela Balu anticipates openings for various Specialists series levels in her lab group, which focuses on advancing the technology development of instrumentation based on multiphoton microscopy for pre-clinical and clinical applications. The initial position is a minimum 1-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal. Requirements: B.S. degree (preferably in Physics, Chemistry or Optical Engineering); Experience with nonlinear optical microscopy and/or other imaging techniques; Laser instruments and laser safety knowledge; Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting; Strong verbal skills; Willingness to learn new skills; Experience with imaging animal models; Ability to explain procedures and protocols; Experience working with IRB study subjects/patients is a plus.
