Postdoctoral Scholar - Immunomodulatory nanomaterials

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of California, Irvine invites highly motivated applicants for a postdoctoral scholar position in the Wang lab. The overall goal of this NIH-funded project is to develop biomaterials with tunable immunological properties for cancer immunotherapy. The ideal applicant should have experience in the following areas:

  • protein expression, purification, and functionalization
  • nanomaterials characterization
  • in vitro and in vivo immunological methods, particularly T cell studies
  • in vivo tumor investigations

Good organization, communication, and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting are essential. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, immunology, or other relevant field.

The initial appointment will be for a one-year period, with the possibility of an extension. The University of California's scale for postdoctoral researchers will be used to determine salary, and a generous benefits package is provided per university policies.
