Position Summary:William & Mary Law School is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and innovative leader to envision, start, and grow a portfolio of online, executive, and professional education programs beyond our existing J.D. and LL.M. degree offerings. The Law School is one of the nation’s finest, is located in a beautiful environment, and is led by an entrepreneurial Dean, to whom the Associate Dean would report. The new and innovative programs will serve current and future generations of adult learners while maintaining the exceptional academic quality of the William & Mary Law School experience.
Required Qualifications:•MBA, J.D./MBA, or J.D.
•Must be meticulously organized and administratively skilled.
•Must be able to problem solve efficiently and creatively, and collaborate effectively across University, Law School, and potential student constituencies.
•Extensive and progressive leadership experience in design, development and delivery of online, executive and continuing professional education programs.
•Must be able to relate well and inspire confidence from Law School and University leaders, as well as national online providers, potential students, and employers.
•A record of achievement in program development, policy formulation, strategic planning, and day-to-day oversight of programs and staff.
•Strong research, writing and presentation skills.
•Prior experience with instructional design theories and methodologies.
•Experience or education in marketing to ensure enrollment growth and sustainability.
•Prior experience in working with employers and researching employment needs to identify gaps in training and education that may inspire new programming.
•Experience or education in meeting the needs of today’s adult learners.
•Qualified individuals should be able to articulate a strong commitment to diversity, and have the ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.
