Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for a Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Counseling Services. This position will report to the Director of Counseling Services and partner with the Psychologist in Counseling Services to meet the psychiatric needs of clients in Counseling Services.
Duties include, but are not limited to: provide psychiatric assessments, prescribe appropriate medications, monitor patients for whom medications have been prescribed, order medical tests for clients as needed, provide psychiatric consultation to colleagues, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing with a psychiatric-mental health certification from an accredited college or university. Currently licensed and eligible to practice as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in South Carolina. Experience as a practitioner in a college/university setting is preferred.
