CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Asst. VP, Ambulatory Expansion provides leadership, oversight, and direction to the construction programs for the major ambulatory expansion projects at Sole Mia and Downtown Doral. Specifically, the Assistant Vice President, Ambulatory Expansion – oversees and coordinates; planning, design, and construction for all new structures, additions, modifications, and improvements to buildings and spaces related to the assigned projects.
This position will work closely with exisiting Planning, Design, and Construction staff to deliver these projects under the Facilities Operations and Planning “Project Delivery Playbook” and University of Miami “Standards of Operation.”
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Ensures that all plans, specifications, and drawings comply with applicable local, state, and national codes and regulations. Manages PDC project managers assigned to Sole Mia and Doral, in collaboration with the Asst. VP, Planning, Design, and Construction and Executive Director, Design and Construction. Prepares reports and presentations on project schedules and costs for administration. Monitors projects to ensure compliance with projected budgets and schedules. Guarantees quality of work through close monitoring of workmanship. Formulates and maintains procedures and processes for risk assessment and life safety measures. Reviews databases for accurate reporting and record keeping. Ensures internal control oversight and compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding of assets, compliance with University policies and procedures, reliability of internal and external reporting, and efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Creates an effective control environment, conducts risk assessment, implements and monitors controls.

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
