Responsibilities:
The Counseling Program at DePaul University seeks to fill one full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in Counseling.
Responsibilities include teaching introductory and advanced master’s courses and advising students in relation to the field of counseling. In addition, the position requires providing support for departmental and programmatic initiatives that seek to create a culture of student engagement, critical inquiry, and the development of counselors as practitioners, scholars, and leaders.
Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in Counselor Education, preferably from a CACREP program, or qualification to be considered CACREPcore faculty. The desirable candidate will have professional and academic experience with diverse populations.
Required Qualifications:
Requirements include teaching master’s level core counseling courses, i.e., Introduction to Counseling, Counseling Theories, Legal & Ethical Issues in the Counseling Profession, Multiculturalism, Testing and Appraisal, Psychopathology, and/or other courses in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, or College Counseling and Student Affairs specialty areas depending on the applicant’s expertise.
