Position Highlights:The Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department (AME) is recruiting a highly motivated Research Technician to investigate shockwave boundary layer interaction in supersonic and hypersonic flows. The work will be primarily experimental, although some theoretical work is expected.

Duties & Responsibilities:- Perform model design.
- Wind tunnel testing and data analysis using various modern diagnostics (PIV, CTA, pressure measurements, schlieren imaging, temperature/pressure sensitive paint and infrared thermography among others).
- Demonstrate skills in analyzing and evaluating data.
- Demonstrate software proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW and Solidworks (or equivalent).
- Additional duties may be assigned.
- Associates' Degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required in addition to education requirement.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with graduate level coursework in turbulence, flow control, and measurements in fluid dynamics
