Independently plan and provide professional nu rsing care for patientsin accordance with physician orders and establish edpolicies andprocedures. Provide nursing services to patients and famil ies inaccordance with the scope ofthe RN as defined by the North Caroli naBoard of Nursing.
Plan, provide, sup ervise and document professional nursing careutilizing the nursing proce ssfor patients in accordance with physicianorders and established polici es and procedures. Use professional nursingjudgment to individualize the plan of care based on assessment of thepatient's baseline needs and resp onse to care.Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licens ed andunlicensed care providers.Assist other nursing personnel in the de livery of nursing care and actas team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or an entire unitas assigned.Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment ofcare including equipment and mater ial resources.Participate in own professional development by maintaining requiredcompetencies, identifyinglearning needs and seeking appropriate assistance or educational offerings.Act as preceptor and support the dev elopment of other staff and formallearners.Participate in the identifica tion of clinical or operational performanceimprovement opportunities and in performance improvement activities.Perform other related duties inci dental to the work described herein.

Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.

Must have current or compact RN licensure in thestate of North Carolina. BLS required.
