The largest department in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, English offers a range of undergraduate majors and concentrations, minors, and graduate programs. We also offer many courses of interest to the University community as a whole, and we work with other departments and programs such as Foreign Languages and Literatures, Women’s Studies, Communication, Education to furnish multidisciplinary opportunities for NC State students.Essential Job Duties:
- The Department of English is accepting applications for the position of Lecturer on a full-time and/or part-time basis in areas such as Composition, Literature, Linguistics, Film, Creative Writing and Professional Writing for Summer 2021, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.
- These positions are short term, non-tenure track appointments.
- Candidates will be hired as Lecturer based on credentials and qualifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department head.
A Master’s degree in a relevant field and experience teaching writing at the college level are required.
Degree must be obtained prior to start date.Other Required Qualifications:
- A demonstrated commitment to excellent in teaching.
- Strong communication skills.
- Special training or experience with online or blended instruction is desirable.
- Graduate coursework in writing pedagogy preferred.
