Job Summary: The IT Technical Specialist III performs advanced professional IT activities for a specialized, complex assignment or functional area requiring application of an advanced professional knowledge of IT principles, practices, and procedures. Requires evaluation, originality or ingenuity. May supervise and/or direct the work of project teams or other lower level staff.
Additional Department Summary: This position provides system and application administration responsibilities for multiple systems to provide desktop deployment to the campus community.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree ; OR Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of IT experience; OR Associate’s degree and four (4) years of IT experience; OR High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of IT experience. Knowledge of advanced programming, networking, system, multimedia, instructional technology skills or project management methods and applications. May require intermediate or advanced level training or certification.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge: Working knowledge of Operating System and software deployment in a large environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of some of the following applications; MECM, SCCM, Intune, Jamf, PDQ, software packaging/scripting.
