19-Feb-2021 Close All Job SummaryThe University of Colorado Boulder and Leeds School of Business encourages applications for a Temporary Graduate Career Advisor! This position will provide career coaching, resume review, mock interview, and one-on-one advising support with students in full-time and evening business Graduate programs. This role will act as professional career coach for this Masters population, noting the advanced experience level of these professionally mature students. The Graduate Career Advisor will manage all aspects of Graduate career strategies and provide feedback mechanisms to ensure positive outcomes. Additionally, this position will support a coaching career plan for each student's development and continually refine a realistic job strategy work plan for both internship and full-time employment; actively monitor each student’s progress against career goals; and provide guidance in the achievement of those goals. This position will also contribute to workshops, training sessions, lectures, and orientation sessions on various career-planning topics being sure to deliver a highly professional level to this demanding audience. Partner with employers to support their recruiting needs.

  • The hourly range for this position is $25.00- $27.00.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business or closely related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in career services, MBA recruiting, or a related business field managing sophisticated projects and/or case loads.
What You Will Need
  • Record of outstanding service to internal and external customers and clients.
  • The ideal candidate must possess excellent written and oral presentation skills and have a demonstrated record of collaborative relationships.
  • Requires exercise of discretion and independent judgment, with only general supervision in performing normal day-to-day work (the full ranges of professional tasks).
  • The ideal candidate will work independently with little supervision to resolve issues in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
  • Outstanding customer service skills when interacting professionally with corporate recruiters, students, faculty, administrators, and staff exercising tact, discretion, and judgment in all areas of work.
What We Would Like You To Have
  • An MBA and prior proven experience working in finance, marketing, or consulting.
