Under the direction of the Coordinator of Deaf and hard of hearing services, the Manager will be the primary contact for event communication access. -Will provide trainings, manage marketing and high touch support to ensure communication access at Boston University Events. -Receives, processes, and schedules requests for communication access for sign language and interpreting services, real-time captioning services, and post production captioning services. -Works with departments to gather, track and disseminate information. -Provides high touch trainings (ongoing and ad hoc) and support to ensure compliance -Assists in data entry and statistical reporting. -Provide in-person and written training materials on a variety of topics including; process and provision of captioning, communication access in web-based platforms, general event communication access. -Edit and update website, forms, and database as needed.

Required Skills

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) This individual must be able to work well with deadlines and be a skilled communicator.
