MANAGER OF EVENT COMMUNICATION, Student Affairs, Disability Services
Tracking Code2232 Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Coordinator of Deaf and hard of hearing services, the Manager will be the primary contact for event communication access. -Will provide trainings, manage marketing and high touch support to ensure communication access at Boston University Events. -Receives, processes, and schedules requests for communication access for sign language and interpreting services, real-time captioning services, and post production captioning services. -Works with departments to gather, track and disseminate information. -Provides high touch trainings (ongoing and ad hoc) and support to ensure compliance -Assists in data entry and statistical reporting. -Provide in-person and written training materials on a variety of topics including; process and provision of captioning, communication access in web-based platforms, general event communication access. -Edit and update website, forms, and database as needed.
Required SkillsProficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) This individual must be able to work well with deadlines and be a skilled communicator.
