Job description
General Summary
The College of Education Graduate Assistant for Advising and Student Support will have the opportunity to work with students, staff, and faculty towards creating opportunities for students to persist and succeed. Responsibilities include developing student success programing, advising freshmen, collecting data, developing advising and other student focused materials, and collaborating with colleagues in the College of Education Academic Services Office. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing opportunities for undergraduate students in the College of Education, be social justice and equity minded, have the ability to memorize program content information, be able to focus on details, and have strong communication and collaboration skills.
Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn consultation with one or more staff or faculty members, assist in the support of the affairs of a program, department, office and/or curriculum.
Other departmental related duties as required.
Ability to work up to 20 hours per week (10 for 50%) is required.
GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
Admission and enrollment in a graduate program is required.
Maintenance of a 67% course completion is required.
Enrollment in at least 6 credits for Fall and Winter semesters is required.
