Required License/Registration/Certification:

LICENSED NURSE; BLS for the healthcare provider issued by the American Heart Association valid through 6 months from initial employment date required.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions for this position include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis and 25-50 pounds frequently; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases, hazards of radiation, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.

Shift:

days/evenings and/or nights with some weekends, holidays and call required.

Job Summary:

This position has responsibility for administrative, business and operational planning, assessment and operations of the Operating Room Control Desk. He/she is intimately involved in the development, implementation, and execution of the strategic plans for perioperative and nursing services.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

3 years operating room experience

Preferred Education/Experience:

Previous management or coordinator experience within an Operating Room is preferred.
