This position is contingent upon favorable funding.
We are looking for a qualified ultrasound technician to be part of an active and productive clinical research team. He/she will be responsible for scanning echocardiographic studies, performing basic vascular and basic abdominal ultrasound studies, and performing specialized offline quantitation of echocardiographic images according to the American Society of Echocardiography guidelines. Sonographer will compile and maintain files according to department procedures. Sonographer will engage in continuing education related to state-of-the-art ultrasound techniques for the assessment of cardiovascular physiology. There will be opportunities for learning new skills and techniques (flow mediated brachial artery dilation for assessments of endothelial function, arterial tonometry, shear wave elastography) and for academic development (intellectual participation in research studies, abstracts and manuscripts).
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or Two-Year College equivalent required (CVT or equivalent) with 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
