The incumbent is independently responsible for the management of all registrar functions and student records for medical students from pre-matriculation through post-graduation and ensures implementation of policies & procedures as they pertain to medical student school records and compliance. Compensation Range: Monthly: $5,200.00 - $7,916.67 Department Website: http://www.som.uci.edu Required: Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.Professional expertise in student affairs program development, management, implementation, and evaluation. Skill and judgment to work with confidential information. Commitment to professional educational excellence and professional academic standards. Ability to relate professionally and sensitively to diverse student population. Ability to relate effectively to faculty and professional staff. Strong initiative and organizational skills with ability to establish priorities and manage projects from inception to implementation. High level of critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines, set priorities and work on numerous projects simultaneously. Skill to plan and execute complex and multi-faceted programs. Experience working directly with students and faculty in an academic setting. Knowledge of University and SOM policies and procedures as related to medical students. Knowledge of campus departments. Advanced skill in utilizing computer programs, preferably in Microsoft Office, including electronic mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Ability to run queries and create programs and reports in Microsoft Access. Strong mathematical and analytical skills to analyze data and present results Preferred: Working knowledge of UCI policies and procedures. Ability to keep accurate and complete records, paying attention to detail and records retention requirements. Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing student records Final candidate subject to background check.
