Job Summary
Develop and produce graphic designs for print and online communications materials for use in publications and other visual presentations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: client management, production personnel and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA This position will supervise: NA
ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Counsel with end user clients and production personnel in conceptualizing and defining graphic design requirements.
Job Duty 2 -
Prepare designs, artwork and other visuals in support of client needs and consistent with design standards.
Job Duty 3 -
Determine required resources; coordinate production arrangements.
Job Duty 4 -
Recommend use of outside vendors and contractors where required.
Job Duty 5 -
Monitor production process to ensure quality standards are met.
Job Duty 6 -
Review final product with users; ensure user satisfaction.
Job Duty 7 -
Maintain ongoing awareness of graphic design industry trends and developments.
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Art or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Two to three years of job related experience
Preferred Experience
Experience with designing Accessible products in compliance with 508, WCAG 2 and 2.1
Experience designing with Drupal 7 & 8
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
This job requires knowledge and skill in the application of graphic design principles and processes. Also required are organization and communications skills, and knowledge of graphic production processes, providing customer service and use of specialized computer applications.
