The Division of Transplant Surgery has an opening for a full time University Staff (unclassified) Website and Digital Content Specialist position.

Jobs in this career family involve development, marketing and management of messaging to both internal and external parties. Functions include marketing; advertising; communications; publications; brand management; writing; editing; proofreading; graphic design; web information architecture, development and design; web content development; electronic communications; social media; news media/relations; public relations; photography; videography; radio/television broadcasting; FCC compliance; and communication projects management.

Nature of Work
The Website and Digital Content Specialist supports the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote the work of the Division of Transplant. The position will be responsible for maintaining all digital assets, enhancing and maintaining multiple websites, and assisting with the marketing needs of multiple programs.  The ideal candidate would be fluent in emerging trends in branding, design, marketing, and technology and look for opportunities to implement additional strategies.

Digital Asset Management

  • Manage marketing digital assets (images, logos, collateral, and video) including editing, cataloging, and archiving
  • Identify digital images to use for marketing collateral
Website Management

  • Collaborate with University of Colorado, UCHealth and Children’s Colorado website specialists to ensure our affiliated programs remain current and dynamic
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain program-specific websites ensuring content is current and dynamic.  This includes regularly updating existing content, generating new content, creating blogs, and cross-linking to other sites, events, and news
  • Perform search engine optimization 
Marketing

  • Generate marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, and email blasts
  • Utilize social media platforms to expand presence
  • Ensure brand compliance through all marketing areas
  • Prepare and present reports on marketing efforts 
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this 1.0 FTE position is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $45,948 - $58,445.   

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, business administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • 1 year of professional experience in Website development and maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience in creating marketing collateral.
Substitution: 
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in marketing/communications in a higher education setting
  • Advanced skills in photography and photo editing
  • Advanced experience utilizing computer programs, specifically Microsoft and Adobe
  • Demonstrated ability to perform search engine optimization
Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of and proven success with digital/email marketing best practices
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage numerous tasks at one time
  • Experience with troubleshooting issues and recommending solutions
  • Comfortable working with and learning new technologies.
