Moreover, the state of Colorado offers ample outdoor activities through its 42 state parks, 8 mountain ranges, and 7 national forests.Job Summary: A full–time Data Manager position with the ACTG Clinical Trials Unit (ACTU), now part of the new COVID-19 Prevention Network (CoVPN), at the University Of Colorado Denver School Of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CoVPN has been formed and will now contribute to the development of large-scale COVID-19 vaccine efficacy trials. The mission of the ACTG has been to develop and conduct scientifically rigorous translational research and therapeutic clinical trials that investigate the viral and immune pathogenesis of HIV-1 infection and its complications. Additional efforts will now be given for clinical trials to evaluate novel therapeutic agents and to find an effective and safe vaccine against COVID-19. This position works Monday-Friday based on the research subject schedule. The position will be located at the Colorado AIDS Clinical Trials Unit (ACTU) on the University of Colorado Denver, Anschutz Medical campus in Aurora, CO. This position reports directly to the Colorado AIDS Clinical Trials Unit (ACTU) Site Coordinator in the Division of Infectious Diseases. Examples of Work Performed

- Management of clinical trials data for all protocols conducted at the ACTU.
- Evaluation of clinical trials data prior to entry into a centralized data management system.
- Randomization of patients to specific protocols.
- Tracking patient participation through systems developed locally.
- Development and implementation of quality control mechanisms for ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Acting as a liaison between the site and the central data management center for ensuring quality of data by resolving data queries, errors and submission of outstanding data in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree
- 2-year work experience in a clinical research setting
- Familiarity with FDA, OHRP, GCP, International Council for Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals (ICH), and HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Superior communication and organizational skills
- Two years experience in a research or medical setting. Attention to detail is very important.
