The Hesselberth lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics is a multidisciplinary lab generally focused nucleic acid repair and single-cell technologies. The candidate will focus on the development and application of single cell biochemistry methods and will focus on the following projects:

Development of new single cell biochemistry methods

Applying single-cell methods to specific applications in immunology and cancer biology

Exploring integration of single cell biochemistry data with single cell RNA-seq

Applying single-cell biochemistry approaches to small molecule screening.

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring salary is $70,000-80,000.  This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in molecular biology, RNA biology, or directly related discipline
  • Strong record of productivity as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognized journals
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in high-throughput molecular biology for screening
  • Experience in single-cell biology
  • Experience in molecular biology, cell culture, and biochemical techniques
  • Working knowledge of molecular biology and high throughput DNA sequencing data analysis
