Job Summary
Performs more advanced administrative duties in support of a Vice President or Executive Director of a division. Demonstrates a high level of administrative skill, competence, analysis and knowledge of organization procedures/policies and ability to coordinate multiple complex systems. Manages the SASS office front desk and Coordinates the student-athlete tutoring program, along with the FlightPlan program for student-athletes.
Responsibilities
1. Manage administrative associate job responsibilities - data entry, phone and email communication
2. Hire, train and supervise student tutors and part time academic assistants
3. Manage student assistants and set work schedules
4. Responsible for tutor and student assistant payroll approval
5. Manage tutor scheduling through tutoring software for student-athletes and communicate with SASS advisors on all tutoring related issues
6. Manage Database of FlightPlan contacts, reach out to new and current members of community list to connect student-athletes to opportunities
7. Meet with Junior and Senior student-athletes concerning internships and career goals
8. Assist with coordinating student-athlete Flight Nights and scheduling guest speakers
9. Serve as contact for service tickets and compile and edit end of term academic summary report
10. Check-in and monitor study hall participation
11. Submit scholarship book list and communicate with bookstore bi-annually
12. Track SASS tutoring budget for student employees and tutors and assist Assistant AD and athletic advisors with projects and requests
13. Organize special events such as Top-Flight Owls night and graduation luncheon
14. Maintain social media accounts and manage office calendar
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Required Experience
Two (2) years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of institutional policies and procedures preferred
Experience working with student-athlete preferred
Previous experience in higher education preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills, strong spreadsheet skills
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree preferred
