Position Summary

Applications are invited to apply for a postdoctoral research associate position in the Department of Entomology at Michigan State University. Research responsibilities of the associate will be associated with research focusing on RNAi & insecticide toxicity on insect pests.

The position start date will be April 2021. The initial appointment will be for one year, with potential for renewal for another year based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Entomology or related field

Minimum Requirements
  • The candidates must have a Ph.D. in Entomology or related field, with evidence of research productivity beyond their graduate research and at least one year of additional postdoctoral experience.
  • Experience in conducting insecticide and RNAi bioassays on insect pests.
  • Experience rearing and maintaining arthropod lab colonies.
  • Experience in handling field residue samples and extraction procedures for residue analysis.
