About This Position
The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate. The Postdoctoral Associate will work within the Myeloma Program and the Experimental Therapeutics Program. The position will include analyses of large whole genome, targeted and RNA sequencing data from patients with multiple myeloma and related precursor conditions, to inform diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. The research will focus on cancer patients affected by multiple myeloma at the diagnosis, at relapse after novel therapies within clinical trials and patients with related precursor entities (i.e. MGUS and smoldering myeloma) to identify the one that will progress and the one that will have a stable clinical course. The Postdoctoral Associate will work within a team of cutting-edge researcher, including translational, clinical, and computational investigators working in cancer genomics and in its application into clinical practice.
Ph.D. in a basic science discipline. Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing bio-informatic and clinical data. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions. Prefer knowledge of programming languages such as Python and R.
