Special Education Faculty Adjunct - Online
The School of Educational Leadership (SoEL) at Indiana Wesleyan University invites
applications for adjunct faculty teaching positions in the area of Special Education. Adjunct
faculty will facilitate learning in the Licensure and Non-Licensure Special Education graduate
programs in courses that address reading, assessment, behavior intervention, and autism spectrum
disorder in an online teaching modality.
Education: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Special Education or a closely related field.
Work Experience: A minimum of three (3) years P-12 teaching experience on a standard
teaching license, including academic credentialing in the area of Special Education. Preference
will be given to those who have demonstrated teaching experience in reading.
Higher Education Experience: Preference will be given to those who have demonstrated
experience teaching graduate level courses for an accredited college or university. Additionally,
preference will be given to those who have online teaching experience.
Professional Credentials/License: Special Education state licensure; may be expired; Indiana or
Ohio licensure preferred.
•Demonstrated knowledge of online educational delivery tools.
•Demonstrated teaching abilities.
•Demonstrated higher education experience.
•Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft products.
•Demonstrated knowledge of adult learners
