Media Part-Time Temp - Division of Communication & Theatre

Position Summary:

In addition to providing media support for various campus events, this position will assist with coordinating, producing, and directing sports-related programming in coordination with student workers, students gaining educational experience through the Division of Communication and Theatre, the Athletics Department, and the Division of Communication and Theatre.

Reporting Relationships:

StudentMedia Program Coordinator, Division Chair

Education Requirements:

Bachelor of Arts preferred, Communication or related field preferred. Professionaltelevision experience preferred. Candidates with commensurate part-time and/oracademic experience will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordinating live sports programming event coverage.
  • Serve as principal producer and director of sporting events.
  • Give professional support and supervision to students who work for and gain educational experience through the Division of Communication and Theatre.
  • Provide general technical assistance and support as necessary to facilitate additional productions and tasks.

  • Knowledge of and passion for sports and sports media.
  • Understanding of live, multi-camera television production and ability to fill multiple roles.
  • Functional understanding of video production tools such as Adobe Creative Suite used in single-camera video.
  • Somelifting (50 pounds) involved with studio and location setups as dictated by theproduction schedule.
