Position Summary :Performs manual and clerical work in the shipping and receiving room providing support involving all aspects of material handling, including picking parts, shipping and receiving goods and storing inventory. Visually inspects material for quality and correctness, ensuring that all parts are properly labeled and identified.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Load and unload trucks.
2.Accept and check-in merchandise against College purchase orders.
3.Make deliveries of merchandise ordered to all campuses with college vehicle.
4.Assemble furniture shipped in knocked down condition.
5.Assist in tagging equipment for inventory and create inventory card.
6.Prepare UPS and other shipments as necessary.
7.Fill central stores orders.
8.Assist in physical inventory of equipment and archive records.
9.Perform related duties as assigned.
1.High school diploma or equivalent.
2.Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds.
3.Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
4.Ability to work effectively with people, courteous, dependable, able to follow both oral and written instructions and work with minimal supervision.
1.Familiarity with operation of a computer and forklift.
Physical Demands:1.Ability to lift packages and shipments weighing up to 50 lbs.
2.Must bend, stoop and kneel frequently.
3.Must be able to spend a large part of the day standing up and moving around.

2.Day Shift Only
3.Up to 28 hours per week
WORKING CONDITIONS
1.Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.
