Advertised Job Summary:

The University of South Carolina’s School of Medicine Greenville is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as Curriculum Coordinator. The Curriculum Coordinator reports directly to the Manager for the M1/M2 Curriculum under the leadership of the Associate Dean for Curriculum. The Curriculum Coordinator serves as the primary support for faculty who develop and deliver core educational experiences within the Course Modules during the M1 or M2 year of the medical education curriculum. The Curriculum Coordinator monitors the development and central coordination of module content, organizes and supports assessment activities for curriculum modules, and develops and/or manages administrative documents for the various curriculum committees at the School of Medicine Greenville. As assigned, the Curriculum Coordinator may be responsible for proctoring examinations and providing support curriculum committees and/or subcommittees.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):

Master’s degree or Bachelor’s and 2 years of experience in curriculum management/development, student services, or other related program coordination experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, Canvas, Oasis, Google Calendar, Examsoft, Weave, Sharepoint. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Excellent Collaboration/Consulting skills. Organization and ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to work independently. Experience working with online learning and assessment systems in an academic environment

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of development and trends in, and theories related to educational processes. Skill in the development and preparation of instructional aids. The ability to plan coordinate and direct programs designed to supplement and improve curricula. Ability to integrate new technology into curricula. Communicate effectively. Uphold professional demeanor in faculty, staff and student interactions.
