Position Summary:The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is seeking an academic Surgical Pathologist for a tenure-track/tenured or fixed-term position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This position will involve diagnostic surgical pathology, with an emphasis on Hepatic (Neoplastic and Non-neoplastic Liver), Gastrointestinal (GI), and Pancreaticobiliary pathology. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and will participate in the Cancer Center’s National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC). Regular opportunities are available for teaching in the School of Medicine and the Graduate School.
Educational Requirements:Applicants must have an MD degree, be board-certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology, and be eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.
Qualifications and Experience:Sign-out experience and/or fellowship training in Liver and GI is strongly preferred.
