Position Summary:The Wan lab seeks a Research Assistant Professor to conduct experiments to investigate the biochemical and molecular mechanisms underlying T cell development and function during immune regulation. Specifically, work will address the role of regulatory T cells during immunological aging and the biochemical and molecular mechanisms underlying aging related alterations of Treg cell function. In addition, research will be conducted to investigate the biochemical and molecular mechanisms underlying helper T cell development, differentiation, and function. The goal of the research is to reveal the biochemical and molecular mechanisms underlying T cell development, function, and regulation. The biochemical, molecular, genetic approaches and mouse models will be used for the study.
Educational Requirements:PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, or related field.
Qualifications and Experience:The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in biochemical and molecular characterization of T cell development and function using mouse models.
