Job Description

Responsible for teaching Spanish courses at all levels as well as upper-division courses in Heritage Language Learning and Pedagogy. Prepare course syllabi, conduct classes and lectures, and advise students. Perform university services and support program development at the University of San Diego. Course load is three courses per semester.

Job Requirements

● PhD or PhD ABD in Hispanic/Spanish Linguistics, Culture, Literacy, Language or Second Language Acquisition or related field.

● Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish, verbal and written, required.

● Academic background or work experience to include: 1) Second language acquisition; and 2) Pedagogy for Heritage learners of Spanish.

Full-time position (37.5 hrs/wk).
