Drawing – Guest Faculty Position Spring 2022, Sabbatical replacement
The Sarah Lawrence College Visual and Studio Arts Department announces a one-semester Guest Appointment in Drawing for the 2022 spring semester.
Candidates should show enthusiasm for teaching drawing to a broad range of students with varying degrees of experience as part of a liberal arts curriculum. This position requires 2 days on campus per week, including participation in program features that include program wide critiques, student shows, and regularly scheduled individual meetings with class members, a hallmark of Sarah Lawrence’s educational system. In addition to artists working within traditional drawing practices, candidates are encouraged to highlight how drawing is integrated into their broader art-making practice, and how they envision teaching drawing to a diverse student body. Underrepresented artists are encouraged to apply.
