Required License/Registration/Certification:ARRT, KY Radiation Operators License, BLS at time of hire, ARRT VI within 12 months of start date
Physical Requirements:The physical requirements of this position include: regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects 25lbs and above; standing for long periods of time while wearing protective, lead gear; occasionally being exposed to combative/violent people; and effectively communicating both verbally and in writing with patients, caregivers, and staff at all levels.
Shift:Varied shifts; must be available to work days, evenings, nights, and on-call; some holidays and weekends required. Call requires a response time of 30 minutes or less to be in the hospital.
Job Summary:The University of Kentucky HealthCare Enterprise is seeking a Radiology Technologist Senior.
This position will provide patient care staffing and on-call coverage for interventional and neuro-interventional radiology procedures.
In this position, the chosen candidate will be required to obtain the Vascular and Interventional (VI or CV) certification from ARRT within 12 months of completing new hire training.
Preferred Education / Experience: 5 years’ experience in radiology/ preferred VI registered.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:CPR, PACS, RIS, ARRT, KY Radiation Operators License, BLS.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :No
Preferred Education/Experience:Associate’s degree plus five or more years related experience.
Preferred ARRT (CV) or (VI).
