Physical Requirements:Staff must be able to push/pull at least 50lbs. Staff must be able to provide excellent and efficient primary patient care in a transport setting (by ground in an ambulance, rotary aircraft or fixed-wing aircraft).
Shift:Must be available to work two 12 hour shifts every weekend (7a-7:30pm or 7p-7:30a). Must also be available for some holidays and to take call. This is a Weekend Premium Pay (WEPP) position.
Job Summary:The position of the ECMO specialist is necessary for the safe, effective and efficient care of the patient on ECMO.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:Critical thinking, attention to detail, flourishes in high pressure situations, able to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :No
Preferred Education/Experience:Experience in the care of ECMO/ECLS patients strongly preferred
