Physical Requirements:This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time); exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens.
Shift:Hours of operation of the Good Samaritan Retail Pharmacy are 8:00 am – 12:00 am 7 days per week; current schedule for this particular position primarily reflect day shifts rotated during the hours of 8:00 am and 6:30 pm. Schedule/hours subject to change in order to accommodate staffing needs during pharmacy operating hours which are also subject to change. Shift rotations to be discussed during interview, and holiday rotations required for some locations.
Job Summary:This position assists pharmacists in UK HealthCare retail pharmacy sites operating under Chandler Retail Pharmacies. The primary duty of the individual in this position is providing technician support for a hospital based retail pharmacy. The Pharmacy Senior Technician may also assist with filling prescriptions, clerical work, data entry, and restocking daily orders received from wholesalers. Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians for Ambulatory Pharmacy Services will play an integral role in ensuring overall customer satisfaction and that a positive patient experience is achieved for all Chandler and Good Samaritan retail pharmacy patrons. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize; the successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Education/Experience:Two years of previous work experience (in a related field). Prefer previous pharmacy tech experience or work/classes in medical field. Hired candidate must maintain state licensure in good standing. Must have 2 years of full-time (or pro-rated) pharmacy technician experience and must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
