The College of Agriculture, Food and Environment department of Plant and Soil Sciences seeks a Temporary Laboratory Technician to provide support for research conducted in the Grain Crops Ecophysiology Program. The primary duties for this position are data collection, sample processing and analysis, setting up and maintaining greenhouse and growth chamber experiments, and provide support in research trials conducted in the field. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining the laboratory space in excellent working condition and ordering of supplies, and will train and supervise students in sample processing and analysis conducted in the laboratory. Applicants must be motivated to learn new techniques, have good organization and planning skills, and be able to work independently as well as with a team. The candidate is not required to have previous experience or background in Plant Sciences research, but must be willing to join a team to provide support in field research studies when needed.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
