Position Summary:

The Administrative Associate will provide staff support for SNAP-Ed. This position will handle the everyday responsibilities of scheduling for meetings, initiating travel arrangements, paying invoices, ordering supplies and other as duties as requested. This position will be a point of contact for the public about the SNAP-Ed program and will be responsible for directing the public to the correct staff member.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Mainly responsible for Administrative Duties related to the UGA SNAP-Ed Program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: correspondence between team members at state and county level, initiate and follow up bill payments, assist team members with reimbursements, keep detailed business records, and assist with organizing and scheduling meetings, trainings, and events. Function as the keeper of the office keys and as the main point of contact for the office.

Maintains the Inventory Control system of the program and manages the coordination and organization of the Program’s storage unit with Central Receiving.

Works as the initiator of purchases through UGA Mart, effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders that includes the program’s accountant, the business office, procurement, vendors and suppliers among others.

Coordinates and prepares the orders and shipment of program supplies for counties across the state and any other designated partners.

Provides administrative support to the Program’s Prinicipal Investigator and Program Coordinator in an organized manner, assuring that policies and procedures are followed. Process correspondence and other communication matters in a tactful and confidential manner.
