Position Summary:The Program of Adult Learning, Leadership and Organization Development (LLOD) at the University of Georgia is pleased to announce a Clinical Assistant Professor position to begin February 1, 2021. Duties of this position include teaching in graduate-level programs in both face-to-face and online environments, advising students, recruiting students into the organization coaching graduate certificate program, advising students in the coaching practicum, and coordinating recruitment, marketing and on-line student support for LLOD degree programs.
Clinical faculty members in our department are full-time 9-month (academic year) faculty members who have a strong academic background, professional experience in LLOD and coaching, and a commitment to facilitating learning, leadership, and change with adults, groups, organizations, and communities. Clinical faculty members are typically renewed annually, and the clinical faculty line allows promotions in rank. As with all faculty positions in the department, clinical faculty engage in scholarly activities; provide academic advising to students as assigned; and engage in service to the department, the University and the profession.
This position is housed on the UGA Gwinnett campus in metropolitan Atlanta and requires teaching the equivalent of a minimum of three graduate-level courses per semester in the program.
Additional Requirements:• An earned doctorate in Adult Learning, Leadership and Organization Development or a related field such as adult education, human resource development, organization development, or leadership
• A certification in executive coaching from a reputable coaching training program
• A minimum of 5 years of coaching experience
• Evidence of teaching excellence in Adult Learning, Leadership and Organization Development
• Evidence of a background that includes program administration
• Three (3) years of experience with marketing academic programs and recruiting graduate students
• Evidence of ability to design and deliver online instruction
• Evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills
