Provide support to a unit marketing efforts through participating in the development of communications materials and planning and conducting marketing related events. Marketing efforts are normally directed towards promoting attendance at unit sponsored events (e.g. workshops, symposium, course offerings, etc) and other programs or services offered by the unit. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit faculty and staff, students, guests and event attendees, facilities staff and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: unit marketing management, students and event attendees. This position will supervise: NA.Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Draft promotional materials for the unit to include writing and editing for print publication, website, newsletters, etc.
Job Duty 2 -
Support event planning and preparation to include coordinating/making space reservations and other arrangements, assisting in the registration process, materials distribution, etc.
Job Duty 3 -
Contribute to units' website content; or portion of the site, devoted to marketing efforts.
Job Duty 4 -
Provide prompt and informed responses to customer inquiries.
Job Duty 5 -
May perform administrative/programmatic support duties for the unit.
Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two to four years of job related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Skill in use of software that may be unique to unit or discipline is preferred
Preferred Educational Qualifications
This job requires a basic knowledge of event planning and coordination. Skills in communication, the application of basic marking concepts, customer service and website maintenance are required as is use of office related computer applications.
