Job SummaryThis position will be responsible for helping manage software services and systems critical to the operation of the research center. The position will also be responsible for engineering software tools that will be used internally and delivered as part of the externally funded research efforts.
Responsibilities- Assist the operations in managing software services, including 150+ node hadoop cluster
- Build software tools to help researchers
- Document sofware deliverables
- Build out monitoring infrastructure for lab
- Promote collaborative research with interdisciplinary research team
- Develop frameworks and libraries for high-performance computing and machine learning applications
- Assist with additional projects as needed
- Bachelors Degree
- Familiar with networking systems and related areas such as mobile computing and wireless communication networks
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in related field
- Experience with high performance computing
- Strong software engineering skills
- Experience with Scientifc Workflows and Resource Managment
