Provides face-to-face, telephone, and email customer service. Serves as a designated initial point of contact and directs inquiries throughout the Office and the College, supporting a general office workflow and delegating appropriately.
Performs a variety of common clerical tasks to include filing (physical and electronic), mail distribution, phone support, data entry, basic report preparation and data reconciliation, document creation, and editing. Logs items received for the Dean’s signature and ensures items are completion, documentation, and return in a timely and accurate fashion.
Creates and mails Dean’s Letters for students each semester.
Performs inventory functions to include ordering and receiving office supplies.
Maintains tidy appearance of the Dean’s Office Suite and shared spaces within the Fine Arts Building by reviewing posted materials, returning misplaced items, organizing documents and supplies. Generates work orders if repairs or cleaning is necessary.
Delivers and retrieves materials to and from College and University offices throughout campus.
Provides limited direct support to the Dean under the supervision of the Dean’s administrative staff.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish effective working relationships and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Basic knowledge of computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (or their equivalents on another platform).
Ability to perform routine errands across campus.Preferred Experience utilizing advanced customer service skills.
Experience with office practices, procedures and etiquette.
Experience attending to details, proactively addressing situations independently, and multitasking.
Practice implementing organizational skills.
Hands-on experience with office equipment (fax machines, copiers and printers).Other Information This is an on-campus position and will not be working remotely.Contact Info Shelby Heitmuller
