Job Description:

Application processing: Collects, reviews, and assesses applications and related documents for compliance with eligibility for admissions and residency classification. Records and monitors required data into student information system and admissions files. Resolves routine application processing problems, and coordinates the resolution and/or referral of specific policy-related and procedural queries and problems.

Supports the UF Online Transfer Evaluation Coordinator with Transfer evaluation tasks. Creates the initial record of academic credit earned. This requires an analysis of course offerings, evaluating course equivalencies using UF policy, recording all transfer credit into the student record system, and posting credits on the UF transcript. This position will also be responsible for recording various types of credit to the student records system to include graduate credit, professional credit, UF international program credit, military credit, and credit by exam.

File completion: Sorts, screens, reviews, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail; (including both electronic and paper records) manages, expedites and maintains file, records, and other documents and ensures accurate progression of completed files throughout the admission process; performs on-going reconciliation of admissions statuses with the UF Online Recruitment & Outreach Center.

Communication with prospective students/recruitment team: communicates via phone and email with students and recruitment team; co-manages UF Online Admissions’ application inbox, investigates/resolves problems related to transactions handled by the department for incomplete admissions files.

Performs other duties as directed by supervisor. May perform other duties in other sections of the office as needed.

Expected Salary:

$15/hour; commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of admissions procedures.
  • Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to supervise.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
