The ideal candidate for this Research Associate position is one that has a PhD with extensive experience (either as part of the PhD or afterwards) in tomato research, in particular tomato genetics, molecular biology and transformation. The candidate is also expected to work in other plants, and prior experience in the profiling of small molecules and their analysis by mass spectrometry is essential. The project will involve elucidating the regulatory processes associated with the control of ovule development in tomato and of lipids in other plants.
The position involves 80% research, 15% mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students, and 5% of participation in conferences and other activities associated with enhancing the candidate’s academic formation.Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
