Position Summary
Greets patients and family to assess needs.
Records chief compliant, obtains vital signs and other important health information.
Records health information appropriately.
Prepares for procedures in surgery clinic as directed.
Assists physicians in procedure room.
Cleans procedure and exam rooms.
Monitors supply inventory.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/SkillsKnowledge normally acquired through a high school education; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a medical office setting or in a clinical setting performing routine health assessment tests; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require experience in the use word processing and database software, a specified medical course such as Nurse Health Aid and Phlebotomy, or Medical Billing and Medical Terminology experience. May require knowledge of electronic medical record and patient scheduling systems.
Requires certification as a medical assistant.
Desired QualificationsExperience using electronic medical record.

Work HoursWork hours are typically 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., but can vary as necessary to accommodate clinic operations.
Summary of Health RisksExposure to human blood, serum, tissue and other body fluids; and materials covered under Universal Precautions; TB risk or work within three (3) feet of patients in a health care setting; wear a respirator. Covid precautions.
