Learning Disabilities (LD) Specialist (Part-Time/Adjunct)


The San Jose/Evergreen Community College District is seeking a part-time/adjunct Learning Disabilities (LD) Specialist at San Jose City College.

Major Responsibilities: The Learning Disability Specialist (“LD Specialist”) will provide learning disability assessments for all referred students; will authorize academic accommodations and provide workshops for staff and students on the issues related to learning disabilities. The LD Specialist will establish and maintain confidential records of student's assessments.

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A Master's degree in Learning Disabilities, Special Education, Education, Psychology, Speech Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Educational or School Psychology, Counseling, or Rehabilitation Counseling and fifteen semester units of upper division or graduate study in the area of learning disabilities, to include, but not limited to adult cognitive and achievement assessment or the equivalent; AND, has satisfactorily completed the California Community College Learning Disability Eligibility Model Certificate.
Salary placement is based on candidate's verified education and experience.
